I want to start this session by saying never stop any medication without talking to your doctor first.
Let them know that you're interested in reducing your medication as much as possible. Hopefully they will take interest in your desire and help you reduce things right there at that appointment. A lot of the medications administered are designed to be your medications forever. You want to look into the ingredients to see if there are heavy metals or any other dangerous ingredients that are detrimental to your well-being. A lot of times the doctors will say " It's just a side effect and you'll get used to it eventually".
Sometimes doctors will get very upset and sometimes hostile if you try to make changes in their plan. If this is the case with your doctor I recommend that you find a different physician that has your best interest at heart instead of theirs. You might want to look into functional medicine physicians at that point. They listen to you much more than your typical General practitioner. Many times you can find a functional medicine doctor that your insurance will cover. I highly recommend taking a look at other options if you find your doctor doesn't want to listen to your side.
The first thing about stopping prescription medications is finding out why you are taking it and understanding if it's doing you any good or not. Most prescription medications have the same side effect as the condition that's being treated.
You'll find that depression medications cause depression in the side effect.
You'll also find anti anxiety medication causes anxiety and the side effects.
The list continues on here. Usually they have a medication to treat the side effects too. It's an endless cycle once you subscribe to the prescriptions.
If you are seeing side effects that you're not happy with and you don't think the medication is doing anything for you that's when you determine if this medication is better for you or worse.
What I recommend is start a list of the side effects that you are experiencing and you know for sure it's affecting you.
Since you have your side effect inserts from your medication right in front of you, make a list of the side effects that horrify you about that medication. Those are usually towards the end. You'll see things like possible seizures and death. That almost makes me think you could call the lawyer and say this doctor threatened my life with this medication that causes possible death. A good lawyer could probably take that through the jury and win your case.
I can't tell you how many times my clients have said the doctor told me I didn't need the medication anymore because of my recommendations and they were upset about it. How can that be? When a doctor's patient gets better shouldn't they be happier for that patient? It's mind boggling to me when I hear these statements. It also puts a spring in my step knowing that I'm pushing in the right direction.
In this section we will go over different conditions that can be easily changed with simple mindset and diet changes. Everybody gets nervous when you say the word diet. If it's going to make you more healthy in the long run it's well worth the sacrifice of whatever's causing your symptoms.
Hopefully by now you have already taken the food sensitivity testing I recommended in our testing and analysis section.
These recommendations are designed to balance your body so the body can heal itself and no longer need the medications and toxicity that goes with it.
