My name is Amanda and I suffer from migraines, Lupus and RA. Those are just a tiny
amount of health issues I have. I don't have time to get into all of them. I am a 36 year
old happily married wife and mom of 2 boys who are 16 and 14. Now to tell you a little
background on me. For years I have had migraines. First one was at 6 years old and
then at 10 they came on full strength and never went away. No matter the doctor or the
meds I couldn't get them to stay at bay. After many hospital stays and different doctors
and pic lines, I have a wonderful friend who told me to get into touch with a guy named
Rob. I was told this man could really help me and could possibly not only help with
migraines but my other health issues as well. So of course I thought about it but in the
back of my mind thought, “what can he do that all these doctors have not been able to
do?” Well, I wish I would have went to him that day I heard about him, huge mistake
on my part.
Fast forward after calling him and listening to him about the pluses of going Gluten and Malt
Free. I looked up all of what he said and watched a video he told me about and was in
shock. This video and the information that came from Rob was spot on to how my life
has been for years. The pain and suffering and missing out on life needed to come to
an end. So, I had nothing to lose. What was the harm in trying if nothing worked for me
why not give this a go. Well I'm here to tell you that it is pretty awesome. I'm pretty
much migraine free. I may have an occasional headache from stress and from weather
changes but I'm not living with a migraine every single day of my life. It has helped my
RA and Lupus. My joints are feeling better, the rheumatologist has even cut me back
on my chemo and I don't hurt when it is time for my next infusion. I have been losing
weight and there are small things such as no bloating, no pain in my feet the way I use
to have. There are days where I am still in shock that Gluten alone could cause these
problems for me. If I had only known all of this all these years there is so much that I
wouldn't have missed out on. It is simply amazing!!
I will say this is a life style change for sure. You will have to educate yourself on the
different names that Gluten can be hidden in. I was so scared. I worried about what am
I going to eat, can I still go out to dinner? You can do all these things you just have to
educate yourself a little and be mindful of everything you put in your mouth. The tiny
sacrifices you have to make to be GF is so worth it for the benefits you get being GF.
As you learn more about GF lifestyle you begin to see the things you are no longer
eating are really bad things for you anyways. I'm not gonna say this is easy cause the
first 30 days were hard. In fact day 27 I wanted to throw in the towel. However, I talked
with Rob and he encouraged me and on day 32 I didn't have a migraine. I felt like a
new person!!!! I literally forgot what it was like to wake up and not have a headache. I
forgot what it was like to not have to go to bed with an ice pack on my head. The best
thing was I could look at my family and say, “ I don't have a headache!” It's like a
whole new life, refreshed life!
Thru this all, Rob has been awesome!! If I'm struggling or freaking out cause I think I
may have eaten something with Gluten, he has been there via text or phone call. He is
so real and supportive. Explains things in full has tons of information and he truly just
wants to help. He has a passion for helping people to be the best that they can be.
That's so rare these days. The compassion is just not really important these days and
that's sad! I cannot recommend and praise Rob enough! If you have tried everything
and nothing is working. Please talk to him, give him the chance to help. What do you
have to lose? I will continue to spread the word about Rob at all my doctors
appointments in hopes that someone else can be helped the way that he has helped
me. Plus, my journey with Rob is not over. I plan on trying to help my body more thru
his vision of working out and getting more weight off and becoming an even better me.
I will be writing even more about my progress and how Rob has helped me with each
successful goal I have reached. This is just the beginning for me.
Thank you Rob!!!
Therapists notes....
The oncologist recognized Amanda's improvement and was willing to change her treatment protocol. She did not needed chemotherapy to begin with. They offered to wean her off because she was doing so well. We discussed this at length. The fact was, she did not need to wean down from the chemotherapy because it's not something you're addicted to and you will not have withdrawal symptoms. The oncologist was weaning off of her insurance company's payments. The further we discussed this the more she understood and she discontinued the chemotherapy program completely.
Fast forward.... Amanda was feeling so good she joined the gym. At that point I had to ask her the dreaded question of how much was her current weight. I was concerned that she might get injured. She reported she was 319 lb. My intuition was right. She would have got injured very easy with that weight at the gym. We discussed training programs and I mentioned a program online. She reported back that that program would hurt her more than help her. I told her I had a program designed for transformation but she had to burn off some of the excess weight before we could get to the gym to execute the program. I asked her to walk the block all summer long with all the kids and all the dogs and all the neighbors dogs and so forth.
She got upset that I would not put her on the program and discontinued communications with me. I can only hope that she's doing very well at this point. At least we got her out of unnecessary radiation exposure for a condition that does not even warrant chemotherapy.
Additionally
I had never met Amanda in person. She was referred to me by a friend who knew she needed my help. This was all phone and text consultation. No fees were involved in this service.
This was all encouragement, motivation, inspiration. I can only take credit for that part. When I get full cooperation on the patients part this is the result.
I will not lie here.....
It takes a lot self discipline to get to this level of personal change.
